Les Aventures de Guirec et Monique : 130 jours dans les glaces

Guirec Soudée, born January 03, 1992 in Côtes d'Armor, Brittany, is a French sailor and adventurer. At the age of 21, the young Breton set off on a 5-year circumnavigation of the globe via the 2 poles, during which he wintered for 130 days in the ice of Greenland, with no assistance, no communication and complete self-sufficiency. He then spent several years sailing the world's seas, becoming the youngest sailor in the world to complete the Northwest Passage, before reaching Cape Horn and the South Pole. In 2021, he sets himself a new challenge: a double solo Atlantic crossing by rowing boat, from East to West, then from West to East, still without assistance. In all, Guirec will have spent more than 670 days alone (or nearly so) at sea during his ocean voyages. In 2022, Guirec is embarking on an ambitious new adventure: taking part in ocean races with his boat, an IMOCA that will carry the name and colors of Freelance.com, in competitions such as the Route du Rhum, with his sights set on the next edition of the Vendée Globe in 2024.

After studying theater as an actress and training in film and television at ESRA, Elsa Oudry worked as a camera assistant and then documentary editor for ten years. In 2016, she directed her first short documentary Mammo, shot in Corsica at Ateliers Varan with Claire Simon. In 2022-2023, she will co-direct a 90-minute documentary film with Guirec Soudée, as well as a documentary series:
Les Aventures de Guirec et Monique, 130 jours dans les glaces. Her first feature-length documentary Outrenoir, developed at La Fémis' 2019 Documentary Workshop, is currently in production.
