22 men and one woman, led by the Armenian Manouchian, fought to the bitter end against the Nazis. They were communists, many of them foreigners and Jews. A red poster with their faces and alleged crimes was plastered on the walls of Paris before their execution. In February 2024, Missak Manouchian will be inducted into the Panthéon in the name of his comrades.
