To defend their homeland against Russian aggression, the protagonists have joined an ambulance corps. They patrol the Eastern Front from the Donbas to the Carpathians, rushing the wounded to makeshift hospitals. Sometimes a few days are snatched away from the horror for a baptism, a family meal or a swim with friends.
