Un pasteur

Réalisation
Louis HANQUET

In the High Alps, far from everything, Felix looks after his herd, living for months in a mineral and inaccessible world where an invisible being prowls: the wolf. Solitude shrouds his days in the mountains, filled with caring for lambs, fencing and poetry.

Louis grew up between Paris and the South-West of France. As a teenager, he discovered photography and regularly visited the farmers who work around his father's house to photograph them. After studying in Buenos Aires (UNSAM, 2015) and in Paris (Documentary Filmmaking Master DEMC, 2016), he assists Sébastien Lifshitz on the shooting of his last two films (Adolescentes and Petite fille). He’s the director of photography for several festival awarded documentaries (La forêt de l'espace by Victor Missud, La lumière Bleue by Laure Bioulès...) A Sheperd, selected in two writing residencies (ADDOC, TY FILMS) and granted by the SCAM, the Région Sud and the CNC (FAIA), is his first feature-length documentary. Accompanied by the producer Valérie Montmartin, he also benefits from the writing tutoring of Anne Paschetta.
